Hello, my name is James, I am 19 years old and I like computers, but know virtually nothing about them. I do understand the basics, but that's about it.

I am from Northern BC, Canada and I have joined the CAF (Canadian Armed Forces) Land right out of highschool; I leave (hopefully) very soon, but after X-Mas
I do spend alot of time on my laptop and was suggested to use the HiJackThis program to see what type of problem I was having and believe it was a Malware problem, which was fixed, then a few days later, it was back :flowers: So I decided to join up and see what all the fuss is about :trumpet:

My PC Specs.

Acer Aspire 5516-5112.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-42
1.6GHz clocked at 2.4GHz
ATI Radeon X1200 1.4GB
250 GB HDD
Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit.
15.6'' HD LCD

Hello James and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Good luck serving your country

Welcome to BC!
I see you have posted about your problem in the right forum, and I am sure our Members can help you get rid of the Malware before you leave for training.
Best of luck,
