free antivirus

The free antivirus programs available on the internet do they really cleanup, is there a free antivirus that protects for a year and cleans up as well.

You can also check out a review of free antivirus here. Personally I really like Microsoft Security Essentials; it's got reasonable detection rates but most importantly it's the easiest to use with automatic updates, scanning and removal with no nag screens.
