can anyone tell me if these components go well together, and if not suggest ones that might for a similar price

They look compatible, though you may be able to get better performance at similar prices with an AMD Phenom II system. Since you're in the U.K., the prices would be different, so I cannot be sure.

A better graphics card is preferable, but it may be reused from an older PC to save money. Besides, an 8400 GS might be all the OP needs.

i know it's not the best card it's just very cheap. the computer won't be for gaming, but for using the lastest adobe suite and various 3d architectural programs,
