Hi, Well heres the problem, I'm helping someone fix their laptop. they claim to have malware on it but as I try to boot up I get a BSOD every time.

It's an Everex VA1500V with WinXP:

Details of BSOD:
I've tried all of the boot options including safe mode and all it does is BSOD and reboot.

the error itself says:
A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE.

STOP : 0x0000007E, (0x80000003), 0x80532784, oxF796F50C, 0xF796F208

Any help would be appreciated.

Try Tapping the F8 key continuosly while starting the computer...A black screen should come up (same one as "Safe Mode")...cursor down to Turn off Automatic restarts....that should stop the continuos restarting...The complete Blue screen message may appear and allow you to write the complete message down... Post that here...While you are at it you may try and use the "last good configuration" option (may or may not do anything for you but it's worth a try)...

Just a quick look at what information you gave for the stop error leads me here:

As you can see this may be caused by several things (maleware being one of them)....But if you can get it to eventually boot into XP you can try and check the Event Viewer....Instructions are here:
