I just recently installed AVAST, and so far so good. One thing though, it tells me it has found over 1,300 files that it could not check because they are "pass-word" protected. If I did not do this, then how did this happen? My friend does not get this message on his computer. They are all under my documents/all users/.../sbrecovery.reg or .ini. Can I safely remove all of these?

Thank you!

Strictly a guess...but those files might be part of Spybot's vault mechanism, if you have Spybot installed.

Sbrecovery.ini and sbrecovery.reg are valid Spybot files, proper file paths.

I don't know why anyone uses the vault mechanism, I just delete anything found by Spybot.
