In addition to MBAM you will want to run ATF Cleaner (for Windows XP and 2000 only!). Check the box for select all and then click the button Empty Selected. This will help clear out temp files, cookies and other junk that clutters up Windows.

Next install, update and run SUPERAntiSpyware. Get rid of what it finds. Finally update and run your antivirus program and get rid of anything that it finds. Please post the log here as well.

Ok so from this log we can see there were infections found.

Memory threats detected : 3
Registry threats detected : 13
File threats detected : 21

It looks like it cleaned out what it found. Looking at the MBAM log:
Registry Values Infected: 7
Files Infected: 12

It looks like it cleared those out as well. Have you run your antivirus yet? If not then do so and remove what it finds. Are you still having problems with your computer after running these scans and clearing out those files?

I am no longer being redirected on my google searches, but I keep getting the fake shield pop up warnings that I am infected. Internet Security 2010 scan keeps popping up too. I ran ATF cleaner. I will check my antivirus now.

Thank you very much for your help!

My McAfee subscription just expired so I will have to renew. If there is anything better to use I would really appreciate your recommendation.

Thanks Again.

If you are still seeing that pop up then the computer is still infected. Have you restarted the compute rafter running the MBAM and SAS scans? For antivirus I have been using AVG free for close to ten years now

Thanks for the AVG tip. I downloaded it and the Internet Security 2010 fake scan stopped popping up. I am still experiencing the fake shield and the "your computer may be at risk" bubble popping up. Here is the AVG log:

Well things have gotten worse. I'm posting this from my blackberry since I can't use the internet.

The first message I get when I start the computer is: RUNDLL. Error loading c:\windows\system32\pusogumu.dll. The specified module could not be found.

The bubble message coming from the shield saya windows security alert. Windows reports that your computer is infected. Antivirus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan you computer (actual phrasing). Your system might be at risk.

I'm getting another message next to the bubble one that is titled Antivirus System Pro alert. It says I have a threat from Win32/Nuquel. And BankerFox.A

A Windows Security Center fake scan box pops up on the middle of the screen. A security warning box pops up with It that reads: application cannot be executed. The file rundll32.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?

There is also another Antivirus System Pro box in the middle of the screen.

The internet is opening itself to adult/ed websites. When I open internet explorer it takes me to: http://winsecurepro2010.microsoft.com/block.php?r=59.2 and I can't navigate away from it.

I also can't run any antispyware programs. An error message comes up that says the .exe file is infected or can't be found. So I basically can't do anything on my computer.

I tried to start in safe mode but got a blue screen that said I can't use safe mode and will have to restart.

I'm really looking forward to your help as I'm totally crippled right now.

Ok, lets run RKill:

Please download Rkill by Grinler and save it to your desktop.

Link 2
Link 3
Link 4

Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
If using Vista, right-click on it and Run As Administrator.
A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2.
If it does not work, repeat the process and attempt to use one of the remaining links until the tool runs.
If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know.

Do not reboot the computer or you will have to run it again

And then try to Update and rerun Malwarebytes.

The rkill black screen flashes, but I still can't run any antimalware programs. I am able to access the internet on Firefox, but IE still won't navigate away from the page mentioned in my previous post.

Lets run Dr. Web:

Please download Dr. Web the free version & save it to your desktop. DO NOT perform a scan yet.

Scan with Dr. Web Cureit as follows:
Double-click on launch.exe to open the program and click Start. (There is no need to update if you just downloaded the most current version
Read the Virus check by DrWeb scanner prompt and click Ok where asked to Start scan now? Allow the setup.exe to load if asked by any of your security programs.
The Express scan will automatically begin.
(This is a short scan of files currently running in memory, boot sectors, and targeted folders).
If prompted to dowload the Full version Free Trial, ignore and click the X to close the window.
If an infected object is found, you will be prompted to move anything that cannot be cured. Click Yes to All.
When complete, click Select All, then choose Cure > Move incurable.
(This will move any detected files to the C:\Documents and Settings\userprofile\DoctorWeb\Quarantine folder if they can't be cured)
Now put a check next to Complete scan to scan all local disks and removable media.
In the top menu, click Settings > Change settings, and UNcheck "Heuristic analysis" under the "Scanning" tab, then click Ok.
Back at the main window, click the green arrow "Start Scanning" button on the right under the Dr.Web logo.
When the scan is complete, a message will be displayed at the bottom indicating if any viruses were found.
Click "Yes to all" if asked to cure or move the file(s) and select "Move incurable".
In the top menu, click file and choose save report list.
Save the DrWeb.csv report to your desktop.
Exit Dr.Web Cureit when done.
Important! Reboot your computer because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web in your next reply. (You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report)
