Okay, so today i tried to boot up my computer. but all i got was a black screen with my mouse on. i tried to boot up in safe mode, but that
dident work either. so i plugged in my vista installation dvd and reformated my computer but then it said "BOOTMGR is missing"
so in the bios menu i tried to make My HDD the first device to boot from instead of the CD/DVD but that dident help either,
so i plugged in my ista dvd and made the CD/DVD the first device to boot from and i now got prompted into the vista installation menu,
but when i tryed to install i got another error so i googled the error and found alot of people that said that the error is
caused when burning the vist dvd too fast, but then i tryed to disable installation canceling when detecting signature problems, and i could then install vista with no problems?!.
but when i then started up my computer agin i got the error "windows failed to load because the kernel is missing or corrupt (File \windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe)"
can anyone please help me ?!. i only got 2 theories left,
or maybe i need to get fdisk to create more partitions on my HDD ?. but that would require me to spend alot of money that i have already
spend on a vista dvd. do i have other options ?

Any Help would be nice.
Thank You.

Have you done a scannow?

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=147786

Run the following: sfc /scannow

That should fix missing or corrupted files.
If that fails to fix it, boot from the DVD and do a Repair.

hi,,,, as i understand it ,,, your recovery dvd will not work in the machine,,, so no repair, no restore no sfc,,, mmm,,, you need a friend to help out here with a full vista disc, and use this for a startup repair,,, this will also replace missing or corrupt system files,,,, try this download,,, i always burn at x8 - x10 speeds ,,,, try that,,

instructions on how to burn an ISO file to disc are at the bottom of the link
