i am receiving a stop c0000135 error with the blue screen with the error message that winsrv is missing, reinstalling this file may fix the problem. I have read several forms but none that match my situation, i ran a scan disk on the pc and it foud all kinds of problems and supposedly fixed them, when the system rebooted the error message appears, i don't think the pc has any t.v. media software, and it already has xpsp3 installed on it. I have used the recovery console to copy the file to the system32 folder and still not working, i really do not want to reinstall the O.S. Is there an easier way

You could try a repair install.
