Hello - I am sure glad that someone like you guys are around - I just heard about you from a coworker when I was complaining about my problems with my wife's and my daughter's computer virus'. We first had to deal with an infection by Anti-Virus System Pro and my wife spent most of tuesday dealing with that and by the time I got home from work she and kid were happily working away.

Well that was Tuesday. My wife's machine is still doing fine but within 24 hours the kid's machine was having further issues. Either we missed something or she just went right back to the 'bad place' and got infected again. The most obvious issue was with another one of those fake antivirus programs, one called Internet Security 2010 - not any of the more reputable products of the same name. I have disconnect the computer from the internet - I am now on my laptop. I cannot get to safe mode on the sick machine, when I try i just get an empty blue screen. I have had Trend Micro' BitDefender on the sick nmachine through all of this process. But it did not catch this stuff and the most recent deep scan resulted with it finding 9 files infected with three diffent trojans that it could not fix. I tried trend micro's House Call and I believe it got rid of the Internet Security 2010 but left the other three also.

I tried to install spyware doctor but the instal was difficult and though it did finally seem to instal it would not scan the hard drive.

Does anyone try to help me please.

Thank you,
DOC

Hello,
This dummy forgot to list the three trojan that I am dealing with, They are (as BitDefender sees it):
Trojan.Heur.TDss.bu4akmFs1Uoi
Trojan.Script.212078
Trojan.Vundo.GOO

I could only find two of them with Search and was denied access to both when I tried to delete them directly.

Tanks again - Doc
