I recently purchased a new laptop for college from best buy, while I typically wouldnt buy from them they had a $450 marked down to $350 because of a missing battery. I figured I could find a battery for less than $100 easily which I still feel I can but I cant even find which battery I need in the first place. The computer is a Gateway NV5332u, From what I can tell the battery is an Acer battery. I ordered one that looked identical but it is so slightly off it just doesnt work plus it the laptop beeped and said it was the wrong to battery. I have literally searched for days and cant find anything, please help.

I'm not having much luck either with the information you provided. Have you tried contacting Gateway?

acer and gateway are not related and their batteries are NOT related. I did a product search and am unable to find a battery to match, you will have to contact gateway. will the laptop function off just the cord? otherwise, gateways your only option

I also did a search yesterday and came up with nothing.

My guess would be that since it's a relatively new system, replacement parts are not yet a consideration for vendors...just a guess.
