I'm running XP Pro SP3 on Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4 GHz and it's running like a sedated snail. My first suspicion was Zone Labs' ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite. While it's firewall has been a favorite of mine for years (especially their free one), the antivirus in the Security Suite truly sucks. It reports its own dlls as Trojans and many other false positives that are well documented in their own forum, where everyone has complained about it slowing their computers. I tried everything they suggested, including removals, reinstallations, manual removals, betas, etc., and nothing worked. Everything is slow. While I have configured my folder options for single-clicking, it seems I have to double-click and more for anything to happen. Task manager reports plenty of RAM (4 Gig), with plenty available. All applications take forever to run. I ran a deep scan with various antivirus programs - the last BitDefender. I've run Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, A2, and HijackThis. I've removed what I know I can remove, and I've sent my log to be analyzed at one place and removed some more stuff per their suggestions. I used to rely on Castle Cops, but they're sadly gone. I've installed just the firewall portion of ZoneAlarm, and I'm running BitDefender for the antivirus. The computer is on a home wireless network using Comcast cable through a D Link DIR 655 router. It's wireless adapter is a NETGEAR WN311B. The HD ATI Sapphire video card connects to my wide screen TV. I've had that setup for over a year streaming video without any problem until recently when I upgraded the ZoneAlarm. I have always had a wireless keyboard and mouse, both Logitech, and they have always worked without a hitch. It's probably not necessary, but it is convenient to run Cisco's Network Magic. I've also liked running WinPatrol because it keeps nice track of preloaded and delay loaded processes that I can disable or kill. It also warns me when anything tries to make changes (kind of like Spybot's TeaTimer). It often picks up attempted changes that ZoneAlarm misses. Anyway, all of those had been loaded from way back and never affected the speed as it is now being affected by something. If you have any ideas from looking at the log, I'd appreciate some help. I just can't figure out what has changed recently that would so greatly affect the speed. Someone told me to check my memory with something called memtest. I was at their site, but I don't know how to use that, and they don't make it clear.

I'm attaching my log file.
