Yesterday everything was fine. I downloaded and installed one program (a youtube video download plugin for firefox - from the mozilla website no less) and started getting redirects in google searches. I don't think the firefox plugin is at fault, but that's the ONLY thing that has been installed. Don't know where I picked this one up, but it's nasty. Spybot S&D didn't find it. Neither did PC tools antivirus.

3 times now I've had IE pop open with some popup ad. Only other evidence is in google, yahoo, etc. searches.

When I run DDS.scr, I get the following in a text window (I'm running it in windows from the desktop -- *shrug*):

MZ @ !L!This program cannot be run in DOS mode.

I'm just now back on this laptop and am trying to readdress this issue. I see no one picked up this topic to help out.

Can I get some aid here? Thanks!

So, my original post (8 days ago now) gets ignored. My update last night gets ignored.

I thought this place was first come first serve?

Can I get some aid here? Please?

Any help here?

Seeing quite a few people who've posted only in the last few days getting help. Been waiting over a week now. :(

It's obvious i'm getting what I'm paying for here. But seriously, this is kind of ridiculous to see people only waiting a day or two for help and others waiting over a week and getting none. It's frustrating trying to be patient and follow the site guidelines when the site doesn't follow its own guidelines.

Just tryin' to get some help. Hope you understand.

Hi ,

The forums are really busy, that explains why logs get behind. If you still need some help, please start with posting a new hijackthislog in this thread. Don't start with a new thread.
Then we'll take a look.

Regards,

Rosty.

It doesn't explain why you guys don't follow your own guidelines of first come first serve Rosty. Doesn't give me much confidence in you reading my logs when you can't read a post date.

My problem is fixed anyway.

Cheers.
