My system got hit by this virus when I mistakenly mistyped a URL and got forwarded to site infested with the FakeAV virus, Vundo, Downloader.Generic.OIP, Sheur2.BUBQ, Generic15.BYMN, etc.

I ran MBM and it cleaned them, rebooted and they came right back. I have Symantec EndPoint, it cleaned them as well and it came right back...

I downloaded, AVG internet security scanned and cleaned them again, rebooted and they came back.. Scanned with Symantec End-Point it found them but could not clean all of them because of the processes that were running. I used Process Explorer to terminate the processes and ran Symantec endpoint again and it cleaned them...

I rebooted...

Vundo was no longer being detected.. but several others were still coming back.. I ran MBM it scanned and cleaned all.. Rebooted... Tried to run Kasersky online but couldn't since they are updating the site.....

Since then the following viruses keep coming back, AVG, keeps finding them as .tmp files...

Sheur2.BUBQ
Generic15.BYMN

I ran ESET online scanner and it did not find any threats.

I then ran MBM again and did not find anything.

I ran AVG and it did not find anything, however I knew this was a false sense of security. I ran the pc for hours and no alerts popped up until this morning when I opened my PC.

These 3 threats/viruses were detected by AVG in the following location:

Downlader.Generic.OIP
Sheur2.BUBQ
Generic15.BYMN

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\dwhaa46.tmp
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\dwh47cf.tmp
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\dwhfcdb.tmp

This happens each time I clean them no matter which tool I use to clean them... No processes are detected, but something keeps creating these .tmp infected files nothing else is detected...

I just tried something different...

Instead of selecting clean these viruses, I elected to ignore the alert given by the AVG Resident Sheild.....

I then ran AVG Virus scanner but scanned the specific location the files were found....

AVG did not detect the infected .tmp files...

caveat:

I am running Symantec endpoint but have it disabled while running AVG

Anyone have any suggestions on a different approach? I'm stumped..
