Posted 05 December 2009 - 09:35 PM

I am trying to fix my fiancees cousins computer. Running Windows XP SP3. Removed 500 +/- malware, combofix first said version corrupt because of spyware, but later would just stall before getting to stage 1 of virus removal. I am aware that untrained users should not use combo-fix, i have used it before, and it is nothing new to me.

Any help is appreciated big time,

Thanks

Brody

I might add that now the only reasons i think it could be spyware or worse is because safemode wont load, it stops at mup.sys even after numerous repairs from recovery console.
