I have a problem with a slow Word Processor (Word Perfect 12). When I try to print it hangs up. This also happens when I copy and paste something from the internet into my word processor. I find that all actions are slow. I have tried my Open Office and the same thing happens there.

I was told that I might not have enough physical memory, also something about log files and Index.dat? How do I find how much physical memory I have.

I have many photos on my system. I had both PhotoShop Element 4 & 7 installed but have just uninstalled version 4 with no results.

I have Windows XP home - 111GB- 1 GB Ram.

Any help will be appreciated!
