I just recently installed an LG WH08LS20 BLACK SATA LIGHTSCRIBE 8X BLU RAY WRITER in my computer. It reads Blu Ray discs fine, (ie. movies, etc.) but when I attempt to burn data to the Blu Ray disc, I encounter a problem. Whenever I put a blank BD-25gb disc in the drive, my whole computer basically freezes and the burning application becomes unresponsive, as well as the rest of my desktop. The LG drive itself will continuously blink. As soon as I open the tray, my computer instantly pops right back into action and nothing is wrong. I have tried multiple discs to see if perhaps I have had a bad disc but each Blu Ray disc results in the same thing. What could be causing this?

My system specs:
Gigabyte K8u-939 Motherboard
Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 ghz processor
4 GB PC3200 Patriot Dual Channel RAM
LG WH08LS20 BLACK SATA LIGHTSCRIBE 8X BLU RAY WRITER
NEC DVD Burner IDE, not sure the model number
WD 320 GB IDE Hard Drive (Primary)
Samsung 1.5TB SATA Hard Drive
5.1 Creative Soundblaster Live Sound Card
XFX 6800XT 8xAGP Video Card 256MB 256bit
OS: Windows XP SP3
650 Watt Antec Power Supply
