Malwarebytes anti-malware closes after 5 seconds

Hi there,

Internet explorer crashes on opening.
start-> search kills explorer.exe which comes back after about 10 seconds.

mbam.exe closes with no warning after about 5 seconds. idle or if i quickly hit scan.
changing name mbam.exe to winlogin.exe or random name does not help.

follows is a rootrepeal scan.
gone now to do a hijack this scan.
