Hello, I found this site by performing endless Google searches on how to destroy malware, viruses, and rootkit infections. I've read tons of tuts on this site, and have successfully removed malware in the past thanks to the threads on this forum.

My PC currently suffers from the evilest rootkit infection on earth, so I thought I would join to see what sage advice I can receive on the matter. Even after operating on Windows operating systems for over a decade, I regretfully still have a rather rudimentary understanding of the workings of Windows.

Malware has greatly evolved over the years because in the past all it took was a half decent virus scanner to exorcise the demons, but now, in the dark age of rootkit lords, it requires 101 programs plus professional guidance to fully eradicate the evil if not a complete reformat.
