Over the past 2 or 3 weeks, I've had an issue where I'd be using a webpage, typing in a word processor, watching a movie, and the window I'm using will seem like I've clicked away, when I haven't. I've checked the running programs, and don't see anything extraneous there that would make me think something else was running that would bring it to the front of the application I'm using. I've run MalwareBytes as well as AVG with no results that would lead me to believe I'm infected. But a couple of days ago, I've been starting Firefox up, and have had new tabs open up by themselves with those lame search engines, so I know something's wrong now. I scanned, and still got nothing on both sides. I've even uninstalled programs I've used over the past couple of weeks, just in case they were the issue. I hope someone can help me. Here is my HijackThis log:

Okay, now it's just exploded, and I can no longer boot normally into Windows Vista. I'm in safe mode currently, and most of my virus scanners have been compromised. Spybot won't work, Malwarebytes won't work, and I can only get AVG to work through their command line setup, and I'm running a scan on it now. Please help me if you can. I'm falling behind on my work, and thankfully I have my laptop, but it's not enough to make it through the day. Thanks.

Just wanted to give a quick update. I was able to run Root Repeal, and found the .sys file that was blocking MalwareBytes and other removal programs from running. After that, I was able to run ComboFix after adding the hyphen. That got me back to a normal boot instead of safe mode. I then ran a full scan on MalwareBytes and removed the 17 threats they found. Now my computer is running better, but I keep getting warnings about trojans popping up on my computer from AVG. I tell them to send them to the vault, but I've gotten the message three times. It mentions the trojan "Dropper.Generic.BHHB", and it winds up making "Host Process For Windows Service" program stop working. So I'd like to know what else, if anything, I need to remove from my computer. Here is my updated HijackThis log:

Much has happened since I posted this. I was able to clear most of my problems off using Combo Fix, and just continually updating the MalwareBytes database and rescanning. Then I got a request to upgrade to Windows Vista SP2, and while it was installing, the upgrade failed, and then subsequently crashed my computer. Microsoft wasn't a help at all, and told me that I had to reinstall Vista. But I said nuts to that, and decided to upgrade to Windows 7, so far with no problems. Thank you for following up with me. I'm sorry you guys are so swamped!
