I'm infected with Advanced Virus Remover and so I read and tried the removal instructions on this forum. However, I'm being prevented from downloading Malwarebytes.

I went and bought Norton Systemworks 12.0 and installed it -- but that didn't help.

Is there anything else I can do? I would be grateful for any help.

I'm using Windows XP on an older Gateway computer, with Mozilla Firefox 3.0 (?) as the browser.

Thanks in advance for any help !!
