If I try to do an F11 system recovery it will show on the bottom of the screen that it is loading windows files and the microsoft inc. line will scroll down at the bottom a little bit later and then the startup will stop before the windows vista logo shows up. At that point the hard drive stops and the startup comes to a halt with a blank blue screen with the mouse working.

Thanks

Is the reason you are trying to do a recovery because of an infection?
It could have damaged your recovery partition

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
