.NET, Windows Vista and Windows Updates

When I tried to install .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 on my Windows Vista Computer and it gave me a "MSI returned error code 1058", so I googled this error code and found that you have to:

Enable The Windows Update Service to get the installer to work.

Hope this saves someone else the time it took me
