I have just encountered this problem in the last 2 days. Not sure what I downloaded or site I visited that caused this.

I have a dell inspiron E1405 laptop. I have windows xp media edition.

I do a search on google.
I click on a link.
I get redirected to a website that differs from the link.
If I right click and open the link in a new tab then I follow the correct link.

Steps taken so far.
Searched with Ad-Aware Free Edition
Ran AVG Free Edition while browsing
Uninstalled AVG
Ran Combofix (I now know I should have waited till being instructed to use it. Luckily, computer had no averse effects. )
No change; Problem still exists.
Ran GooredFix.
No Change; Problem still exists.

PS: How do I upload an image?
