I had got on safe mode to do some maintenance and when I was done I went to restart computer like I allways have to get back to regular windows. Well it did'nt now I can't get off safe mode. I have gone back to safe mode and clicked on normal and nothing happened. If some body has an answer I would appreciate it.

HOW did you enter safe mode? Did you get there by choosing safe mode in the boot options screen or did you set
msconfig in order to get to safe mode?

I've seen posts where people forgot to change it back in msconfig.

Most likely Inspector1 did not use msconfig, as he/she is seeing the boot menu screen. Using msconfig usually results in a straight-to-safe mode boot OR a continuous booting cycle, where one cannot do anything at all except watch the computer
reboot over and over.

Hey Guys, I pressed f8 and sellected from the boot menu. And I was running scandisc and defrag in safe mode because I allway's do this after I clean inside. I got a error message saying that I had to change the Stacks in config.file and another saying the FDC Failed. I understand how to get to config.file but what is a stack?
