I was infected with spyware about 4 days ago. The spyware knocked out my norton antivirus. I cannot reboot in safe-mode it stops at mup.sys and then reboots in normal mode. I tried running a highjack this scan but it says that "for some reason my system denied access to host files. So I'm sorry for not being able to post my highjack this log. The problems that I am experiencing is what various forums like these call the "google redirect virus". It all started when I was on the web and got a popup that said to install java so like a dumb@ss I did. Then I started getting popups and my computer said that Norton was no longer active. When I rebooted it kept saying that norton was down as well as other programs (I cant remember what other programs). Then I went to my Safari browser and when I typed up a search on google it keeps redirecting me to other sites. I launched both my IE, and Fire Fox browsers and the language was both changed on them to Nederlands. I changed the language back to english but when I rebooted it went back to the same language this is what it says on the address bar (http://www.google.nl/). Anyways I decided to take a loss and removed Norton Antivirus from my computer (I didn't have the product key) and reinstalled a trail version of Norton. I have scanned my computer with malwarebytes, norton, and avg but they cant find the bug. Please help! Thank you in advance.
