Hi,

I tried removing AFA Internet Enhancement by following the instructions from this forum (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/How_to_remove_AFA_Internet_Enhancement_or_Vcmnet11exe-t19277.html)
but got no joy - the described entries:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C370527A-24A7-4583-BE01-72E59000EB17} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\n.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe] C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe
were not in the log, even though my Ad-Aware adWatch is warning me about it. Obviously i have a bigger problem than that, though and i won't do without the help of the PROs. I have uninstalled Windows Internet Explorer and MSN Explorer and am now using Firefox as suggested here.
Here is the log from HJT as i ran it in Safe Mode:

Welcome Tolik to Bleeping Computer.

Download LQfix by Miekiemoes.
Unzip it to your desktop.
Don't use it yet.

***

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

***

Run LQfix and reboot the computer back to normal mode.

***

Post back with a fresh HijackThis log. There's more to be done.
