Hi people, my computer is sending something over the internet. I don't know why it is doing this but this is ANNOYING and I think it is slowing down my connection. So how do I find out what is causing this and how do I stop this. I have Norton Internet Security 2005 (I think it was 2005), it can block traffic, so I'm blocking my internet traffic until someone figure out my problem. Plz and Thx

You would be better off posting this problem here....

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/ And it would be a good idea to get some up to date virus protection.

Glad your problem is gone. Sometimes it does come back. I have used ZoneAlarm (the free version) to watch and control what programs are trying to access the internet. While Windows has it's own firewall, ZoneAlarm is much more accessible. You could use it for a while to see if you like it.

Also, I have found Norton, and other mainstream antivirus programs to be less than complete in protecting my Laptop. You may want to ask around about Malwarebytes and Spybot SD. The combination of those two with AVAST (free) protection has kept me very safe.
