I did not have this issue until my wife used my computer and then my one and a half year old daughter palmed my keyboard. I have a Lenovo laptop (SL400) running Vista Business. I first noticed the issue when I tried to copy pictures from an SD card to my hard drive and nothing copied over. Today I tried to change the name of a file (in Word) and it would not change--when I typed the new file name and clicked on something else, the file named changed back to what it was before. Tried to create a file folder on the desk top and nothing appeared. I can't copy and paste anything from one place to another. I went in and changed permissions and that didn't seem to change anything either. HELP...!!!!

Also, wen I send something to the recycle bin, it goes, but I can't restore it. It looks as though I can create new documents, but can't change file names or copy and paste from one location to another. I tried to do a system restore from a point that I knew everything worked and this is the error message I got:

"System Restore Did Not Complete Successfully. Your Computer's System Files and Setting Were Not Changed.

Details:

An Unspecified Error Occurred During System Restore"

I tried System Restore for a few different restore points and nothing has changed.
