First off, I realize I was supposed to attach the Attach.txt file, but DDS doesn't seem to be functioning the way that the sticky topic describes (it automatically creates a number of files in the directory it's located in, and never opens anything automatically). Also, I'm on the 64-bit version of Windows 7, and RootRepeal doesn't work with 64-bit OSs. So all I have is the DDS file (copy pasted below) and a Hijack This file (pasted below the DDS contents).

I'm having this problem on two separate computers on the same network: Randomly I will be redirected to a page I haven't requested. Most of the time, it seems I'm sent to MySpace or a specific MySpace profile. This problem seems to resolve itself after a period of time. For instance, today I tried to go to the foobar2000 website (both by two different links through google and by directly typing in the URL) and I was redirected to MySpace. This occurred on this computer in both Chrome and Firefox. Previously, I've encountered this problem on my laptop, as I tried to go to Twitter and Facebook, both sending me to a MySpace profile. I'm no expert, but I didn't see anything in the Hijack This file that really caught my eyes, which makes me wonder if it's not malware, but something else. I have shared some files between the desktop and laptop that was originally experiencing this problem, so I don't know if I've contaminated this computer perhaps. The only other thing that comes to mind is that I sent in my router for repairs and received back a refurbished router, so I'm wondering if that could somehow be causing this.

I'm at a complete loss for what to do. Clearing the cache and other such things does nothing. Can anyone help me?

Here is the contents of the DDS file:

No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
We need to create an OTL Report
  • Please download OTL from one of the following mirrors:
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the Posted Image icon on your desktop.
  • Click the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
  • Push the Posted Image button.
  • Two reports will open, copy and paste them in a reply here:
    • OTListIt.txt <-- Will be opened
    • Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Also, please subscribe to this topic, so you are notified when someone replies. Please continue to check manually on occasion, as every now and then the email may be caught by your spam filter.
