I have windows xp and am using a Linksys wireless adapter to connect to a Linksys router. Everything was working fine until I installed AVG virus protection, I dont know if that has anything to do with the problems but I thought I would mention it. I am getting disconnected from the internet every few minutes, and wont get connection back unless I restart the computer or unplug the modem and router and of course plugging them back in. I must mention that although I lose connection, the connection status says that I am still connected (although I am not). I also cannot download anything anymore, if I try to download something then nothing else will open, almost like my computer is frozen. when this happens and i try to restart the computer the same thing happens, its like its frozen (but i can still move the mouse around) so i often have to manually turn off the computer. I dont have any viruses or anything of the sort, I have done scans and found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
