I have this insidious virus on my computer and while I tried numerous fixes, like Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and a couple others, I can't open one single thing. I can't open the Taskmanager, cannot open Internet Explorer (I use Firefox and it was open). They start open, but all I get is a brief flash and they disappear, and I get the message from the virus that they cannot open because they are infected, and so on.

I'd appreciate any help on this. Please make the instructions clear, as I know enough to get myself in trouble, otherwise i wouldn't this virus.

Thanks very much

When all else fails I try safemode. Try going in to safe mode by gently tapping the F8 key as the compute rreboots. Select safemode with networking and see if you can get MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware installed and the scans run. That will get you started and then you should be able to go in thru the regular Windows mode and run the scans again to complete the removal of the little nasties. I would also update your antivirus and run a complete scan with that as well.
