Hello --

New to Forum-- (xp professional)

computer crashes often just in idle..or especially when running winamp, and msnmessenger camera.

My firewall program 'Armor-net' shows extremely high activity with xpjava.exe file.

Can anyone tell me if this is a dangerous, undesirable file/virus???

some forums say it should be deleted, however i cannot locate it...

any advice ?
Thank you ..

According to the BC startup database, xpjava.exe is added by the W32/Rbot-YC network worm/backdoor.

See the Sophos analysis:

http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32rbotyc.html

Run your resident AV, which should recognise this worm and get rid of it.

John
