Hay wizards,
Trying to help my friend out. He mentioned he was getting some pop ups and some strange browser effects. I went to install the basic removal programs to start with, I got S&D installed but it won't run and Malwarebytes' won't even install. I can see their .exe file listed in the processes in the Windows Task Manager but nothing ever happens?. The browser is acting "spamy" with it changing clicked links to a directed spam website. I cannot tell at this point what the spam is or called since I can get any of the programs up to help me identify the problem. HJT did install and does run so that is bonus. Not sure if the programs not running is due to the spam or do to something strange on his computer, like a security issue. I am logged in as admin so...

Posted is my DDS report w/ Attached txt. Along with HJS log and my RootRepeal.txt. If someone could at least point me in the right direction I would be most appreciated. I try to do most the leg work before asking for help but since it's not allowing me to use "said" tools I am kind of stuck.
Thanks in advance,

~Iggy

Since my friend didn't have much on his system, besides just some photos, we decided since he had a bunch of pre-loaded crap on the computer, just to reformat the thing. Running buttery smooth now. Probably quicker in the long run anyways..so I consider this problem solved. If the mods could close this thread that would be great.
Thanks
