One of my PC's was badly infected (this one). Not by me though!
Had out of date PC illin.
Vailid version of XP.
Boots up (slower than normal)
Ie works (but has that "different look)
Can not open any programs or open any files (other than IE)
Can not save any files
No task manager
No add remove programs.
Get "application failet to initalize" error when trying to start programs

Where to start ?

Can open task manager, buy get access denied when I try to close unknown programs.

Can not boot in safe mode, asks for user name but there is nowhere to enter a name.

Can not roll system back as that option has disappeared from XP.

Tried to run DDS and GMER but was unable to run, both got errors.

Do have Windows system disk for this system. Have other pc's and can make CD's.
