Take a look here: How can I make Yahoo! Mail my default email application?

You say "Just did a system recovery..allllllllll the way back to "the land before time" "

Have you installed any Yahoo products since the restoral? Such as, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Music, or Yahoo! Toolbar?
If you have installed one of those apps and Yahoo still doesn't come up as an option. I'm out of ideas. Otherwise take a look here: http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index...09114927AAbTIot
