i5. Hyperthreading is about useless for games. Put a good CPU cooler on it, get some quick RAM, and clock away.

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)

Well, an i7-860 then, or open the wallet and build an i920/X58. Seriously, as far as gaming goes, an i5 and an i7 are neck and neck at the same clockspeed. If you got the money, get an i7, just dont expect miracles for the extra $90.

Damn right, if you go with the 1366 socket i7 920 and an x58 board next year when Intel releases it's new i9(6 cores with HT enabled) it's going to be socket 1366, and existing 1366 sockets only need a bios update to support it. If you're willing to spend the money on it, may aswell go i7. But punisher is right you won't see a noticeable increase.

How much you willing to spend anyway?
