Hi.

I am suffering from a slow computer at start up. I have an abundance of processes running. including a Dr Watson exe file which seems to have tens of proceses. Could someone point me in the right direction for quicking up my system?

Cheers

FWIW: Dr. Watson is a report tool, brought into action when various things go wrong.

My startup list is only the firewall and antivirus programs.
I removed all others using ccleaner. tools/startup/highlight/delete

also run the default disk cleaner program:

<<<I have an abundance of processes running.>>

???

Where does this abundance of processes come from...if not from installed startup items?

Your post indicates "high memory usage at startup".

Can you post a screenshot of the aforementioned abundance?

FWIW: You can also use a tool like Process Explorer to help determine what is running, Process Explorer - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896653.aspx
