I was infected with the MSA and B.exe virus few days ago. I seem to have download a bad exe and my Antivirus sent me a message, deleting it instantly. I checked the processes in Task Manager and B and MSA.EXE were running. I disabled both and deleted them. Ran malwarebytes and it took care of the few infections.

I started windows regularly to find my screen black, and the taskbar frozen and the Task manager and other programs would freeze up. Can't connect to the internet or open any folders. So I'm now using Safe Mode with a connection to the internet. Since then I've searched for solutions and none have worked. I deleted suspected registry files, done multiple scans and a few programs aren't compatible with my OS.

I run Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I've seen ComboFix as a common solution, alas it doen't work for vista. I've run out of ideas for ousting this virus. Every scan comes out clean, but my task manages says my PC is always running at 100%.

Please, I need a solution without reinstalling and formatting my OS. Please.

Hello,
You will need to run HJT/DDS.
Please follow this guide. Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Hijackthis. Then go here HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal ,click New Topic, give it a relevant Title and post that complete log.

Let me know if it went OK.

Good as that is the only wat we can clean this and we will, thanks.

Now that your log is properly posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic.
