I am trying to get to the "Safe Mode" on Windows XP Professional SP2 on an HP KAYAK XA computer. The MS directions are to hit F8 - all that happens is I get a list of areas to boot from: CD, Floppy, and Hard drive and can go to setup, none of which gets me to the "Safe Mode" I believe the Bios has uses F8 (not sure) and is directing me to Boot Mode. How do I get to "Safe Mode"?

The reason I want to get to 'Safe Mode" is that I am trying to remove Spysheriff.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
