For some reason my computer will not let me use my usb to read my sd card. It will continually say "Drive f: needs to be formated would you like to format now". The SD card works in other computers as well as in my digital camera. Why does it not work in my computer. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

What is the OS?

EDIT: Sorry, stupid question.

Have you tried any other cards in the card reader on your computer? Maybe it is the reader that is the problem.

Sometimes, uninstalling all the USB controllers through Device Manager,
rebooting and reinstalling as directed, solves USB problems.
