Ok let me try to explain my problem.

I have this older comp that needed to be formatted. So I created my boot disk, and formatted the comp and everythings gone. so far so good. But now here comes my problem, I cant figure out how to get my cdrom to work so I can install win95 again on it. Im not exactly familiar with how to do this. Ive tried looking at some other sites first that explain how to do this. Ive followed their instructions but when they get to a certain point it says to type "d:" or something to that effect to begin setting up the cdrom drive it says bad command or cdrom not found.

Seems to me Ive missed some important step somewhere. If anybody knows how I can solve my problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the BIOS is set to boot from the floppy.
Put the CD in the Rom drive.
Put the Bootdisk in the floppy drive.
Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer back on, let bootdisk run and at the prompt use the arrow keys and select To run with CD Rom support.

Then

At the A:\ prompt type D: press enter, then at the D:\ prompt type Setup.
If D is not a valid command then type E: press enter then type Setup.

Did you get your boot disk from www.bootdisk.com ?

Try booting from your boot disk, with your 95 CD in your CD drive. At the command prompt type:

R:

After that type in DIR

Let us know if this works.
