AVG 8.5 indicates our PC is infected with the trojan vundo. The Super AntiSpyware scan also found this virus but was unable to remove it (each new Super AntiSpyware scan indicates it's still present even though the virus files were supposed to be deleted). Malwarebytes didnot indicate any viruses. Below are my scan logs. Being still a newbie, I would appreciate any assistance.

Hello fac33,

You ran the previous Hijackthis log in Safe mode with network support. It does not show all the running processes when you run it that way.

Run the following in the Normal Mode.

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Select Files and Folders created in last 3 months
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized).
info.txt can also be found at c:\RSIT\info.txt

Hi fac33,

Do you still have a problem?

I see that you have double posted and have already were helped by fenzodahl512 at GeeksToGo
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/trojan-vund...lp-t257761.html
for this problem.

Double posting wastes our time, creates backlogs and is frowned on by all Malware Removal forums!

Thanks for the response and I understand what you're saying.
In closing, everything seems to be running okay. However, is it a concern if SuperAntiSpyware still shows Adware.Tracking Cookie? Thanks.

Thats normal. Tracking Cookies are not harmful.

http://www.davescomputertips.com/articles/..._or_harmful.php

If you dont want them then set your browser to not allow them or use a temp file cleaner like CCleaner. It will delete all cookies, as well as temp files.
