Hi, just got a weird thing to occur with my MPC. I have some .avi files that played perfect. I downloaded a couple more .avi files and suddenly Media Player Classic will not play them. I get a "Can Not Render File" message when I try.

VLC will not play them.
WPM will not play them.
Nor Quicktime, Zoom Player, Nero, Adobe, or anything else I try.

 <-- that's me trying to figure it out.

I have downloaded and reinstalled MPC again, VLC again, upgraded WMP to the latest version and codec packs out of the whazoo. Nothing works so far. :flowers:

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Sounds like a corrupted .avi file.

Or, depending on the source of the files, they might be fake. Many peer-to-peer networks are full of fake and malicious files.
