Hope I am in the right forum for this.
I have a think pad running XP. The problem; when I turn it on, it comes to the 1st screen and is stuck there. Sometimes I can turn it off and back on and it will start working. I took it to the computer repair shop, turned it on/off several times and it worked! I got home with it, turned it back on and it is still frozen on the opening screen. Hasn't worked since. I have reformatted it when it first started all of this. Any ideas? Thanks

Since you reformatted, what was the original operating system.

Aftre XP was installed did you get all the necessary drivers from the Lenovo site?

What other, if any programs have you installed?

Are you able to start it in safe mode?
