The original topic (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=228811&hl=taskbar) was 'resolved' (?) by renaming the icon BUT this doesn't work for me.

When I upgraded to Win 7 the taskbar had a few icons - some of which I've deleted and replaced with others ... however, there seems to be a limit to how many icons can be placed on the taskbar (4 ?) ... or maybe there's a size restraint. Most icons are 'standard' shortcuts (i.e. have arrows).

How can I add more?

Thank you - i'll try that.

Does the 'original' (single height) Win 7 taskbar have a size/# limit? If so, why (as if anyone knows)?

errr... not that I have seen so far.
I have 9 or 10 things pinned (a la quick launch) and often have dozens of icons once I start opening folders, documents and so on.
height-wise I can stretch it to fill half the screen (a dozen or more rows)
