There are some wacky things happening on her computer, like windows update will crash every time i try to install updates and explorer.exe crashes when i try to open control panel. i just read the article on posting a log, and will run and post the logs of those other programs too (dds and rootrepeal etc.) if need be, but here is the hjt log:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.

Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

i ran a bitdefender online scan and it said it got rid of a vundo trojan but like a few other viruses were still on it.
