when you are at that screen, hit "CONTROL+ALT+DELETE" to bring up the Task Manager, then click on the "Applications Tab". Then Click On "New Task" then you have a few options...

1) you can do a System File Check to repair all critical system files (including Explorer.exe), To do this once you click on New Task, type: sfc /scannow (note that this will require your windows disk...follow the steps and wait until it asks you for the disk)

2) or you can Try to restore your computer using System Restore. To Do this once you click on new task, type: msconfig and then hit ok, then click on "System Restore" and pick a date when you know your computer was working properly to restore to.

3) or you when you click on "New Task" you can click "Browse" You can then browse through your folders on your computer and go into your C:/Program Files/ and then locate a program you want to run (possibly your virus scanner, or Spyware scanner).

Hope that Helps!
