Hi

Facing terrible browsing slowdowns with my new Win7 install (RTM). Two primary issues I could spot are the presence of a file named spxx.sys, which keeps renaming itself every boot, and infecting the registry key "Imageview_fullscreen". Antivirus checks come up clean, though Housecall does not work. The infection (?) is spotted by Regrun while running in Safe Mode - MalwareBytes comes up clean. The second issue is a svchost (netsvcs) instance that connects to random sites and computers, uploading small packets of data, and possibly is causing issues with my internet connection as well. Posting the logs and attach.txt - Rootrepeal and Combofix both do not work on Win 7 64-bit. Thanks for looking, and thanks for the help :(

  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
