Hi,
I am trying to clean up my system which is infected (according to AVIRA) by TR crypt.zpack.gen.
I read differnent topics suggesting to scan the system with combofix and posting the report, which I did (see attachment).
I suppose at this point I should kill some of the entries pointed out in the report by creating a CFScript file to drag on the combifix icon, but I'd use some suggestions to find out how...
Thanks in advance for your help
Fernando

Hi, AVIRA has detected crypt.zpack.gen on my system. I noticed something was wrong when I found out something was preventing me from displaying hidden files (I changed the registry entry for that but i gets reset instantly).

I don't experience slow performance or any other similar issues. I was infected by crypt.Xpack.gen few months ago and got rid of it using avenger and other tools.

Here's my DDS log. Attach.txt and Ark.txt from rootrepeal are attached.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
