Starbarsearch and nine trojans.

My wife managed to, somehow, install the Starbar toolbar and infect her laptop with 9 trojans lastnight.

I had installed Malwarebytes and a few other progs from a previous infection months ago and this new set has locked out Malwarebytes and Hijackthis. I can't rename the exe's to fool the trojans and the laptop won't boot into safemode. The only prog I could get to run is Sophos Anti Rootkit and it picked up the nine trojans as shown in AVG's virus vault.

I don't know where to start.

Wife's laptop is an Acer with XP Pro SP3 and AVG 8.5 Free

Nevermind. Decided to reformat instead. Way faster than waiting four days for a response.
